Biblicly, Methuselah was a real old Hebrew, 900 yrs old or so. Noah's grandpa.

More recently, its the name given to a Bristlecone Pine in the White Mountains of Ca.. The oldest, non-colony organism we currently know of. About 4,800 years old.

Very cool. I live in the northern ca. redwoods and have a few favorites with names too. When you get confused, hug a Redwood.;)
